Abstract We have developed a several-millisecond pulsewidth pulsed Nd:YAG laser with output power of 200 watts in average and 5000 watts in peak. The performance of the long-pulse-width pulsed Nd:YAG laser is investigated. The theoretical analysis agrees with the experiments quite will.
