Abstract: The optical luminescence spetrum and electron paramagnetic resonance hyperfine constant of MnF2:Mn2+ are given a unified explaination on the basis of semi-self consistent field d-orbit theory and a new method of determination of bond length from hyperfine constant. The bond length of Mn—F in MnF2:Mn2+ crystal is determined as 0.2124±0.0010nm.
