Abstract: Raman spectra of benzene and chloroform with different relative concentrations are measured. The frequencies of CH stretching vibration in chloroform shift to lower wave number with the increase of benzene concentration, which can be explained by C/H interaction. This interaction is saturated when the chloroform volume fraction is less than 40%: the frequencies of CH stretching vibration remain the same. Taking the chloroform volume fraction of 70% chloroform and benzene mixed solution as the research object, the Raman spectra of binary solution and pure liquid are measured at different pressures and temperatures. According to the relationship between pressure and temperature of the frequencies of CH stretching vibration in chloroform, the regular pattern of C/H interaction is obtained.
