Abstract: Based on the canonical Ward-Takahashi identities to include composite fields to study gauge symmetry dynamical breaking for Abelian gauge theory in higher-order derivative systems, the mass spectra of both fermion and bound states are obtained. The effect of higher-order derivative terms on mass generation is discussed.
