Tetrapod-like ZnO nanostructures serving as cold cathodes for flat panel displays

Abstract: We have studied the field emission properties of tetrapod-like ZnO nanostructures and the fabrication of flat panel displays. Stable field emission and full-screen lighting have been realized. It is shown by our experimental results that ZnO nanometerials are good field-emission cathode materials.
