Ba 6p3/2nd (J=1,3) autoionizing states, especially those with lower principal quantum numbers, have been experimentally studied using the isolated core excitation scheme with three dye lasers. Level energies and widths of 6p1/2nd and 6p3/2nd (J=1,3)autoionizing states, which are excited from 6snd1D2 Rydberg states with n=7—15 and 6snd3D2 Rydberg states with n=7—12, are reported. Examination of autoionizing states with lower principal quantum number (n=7—9) exhibited the admixture between states converging to 6p3/2 and 6p1/2 ionization threshold. Moreover, some discussion is made based on comparison between different autoionizing series, so that one may explain the complex spectral structures of these states.
