The article titled “Study on the electronic structure and photocatalytic properties of a novel monolayer TiO₂” by Ziqian Xiong et al., published in Acta Physica Sinica (Vol. 69, Issue 16: 166301, DOI: 10.7498/aps.69.20200631) in 2020, contains errors in the data processing related to the calculation of elastic constants and mobility. These inaccuracies have led to incorrect results in the paper. In order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the research findings and to prevent misleading information from impacting the academic community, the authors have decided to request the retraction of this paper. This statement is issued to formally announce this decision.
