Abstract: Digital signals (square wave) are superpositions of many frequency components in frequency domain. We analyze and calculate the coupling potentials between the atom and the frequency components respectively, and demonstrate that the atomic trapping adiabatic potential can be generated by taking into account the total coupling potential. An application scheme of the digital signal in an atom chip is proposed.
