Abstract: The interfaces between CoO and Fe2O3 films have been studied, the results show that the simple CoO-γ-Fe2O3 interface has practically no effects on magnetic properties, and that the "complicated diffused interfaces" is anlikely to be the major factor in the enhancement of coercive force as previously believed. The Hc enhancement is likely to be a body effect caused by Co-doping rather than an effect of interfaces.
